Hazratganj
Hazratganj is Lucknow's most well-known market and cultural street, lined with old colonial-era buildings that now house shops, cafes, and street food stalls. It has been the city's main shopping and social hub since the 19th century, and its wide, tree-lined footpaths still carry some of that old-world charm alongside modern brands.
Evenings here are especially lively, with the street lit up and full of locals out for a walk, a snack, or some shopping. Try the local chaat and kebabs from the street stalls, which are considered some of the best in the city, and browse for chikankari embroidery, a Lucknow speciality, in the surrounding shops.
Hazratganj is centrally located, making it an easy add-on to a Lucknow itinerary alongside the Bara Imambara and Lucknow Residency.
